User Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: 2026-09-05
This page explains how to stop Reel Studio from accessing Instagram data and how to request deletion of data associated with the integration. Meta App Dashboard may link here as the User Data Deletion Instructions URL.
1. Disconnect Instagram access
- In the local Reel Studio app, disable Instagram API / external performance settings and remove stored account configuration if present.
- In your Meta / Instagram account settings, remove or revoke access for the Reel Studio app (Apps and Websites / Business integrations).
2. Delete local Reel Studio data
On the computer where Reel Studio runs, delete local application data such as:
- Local SQLite database files
- Cached assets and renders under the local storage directories
- Local environment files that contain API tokens (if you no longer need them)
Exact paths depend on your install. Typical project-relative locations include storage/ directories and a local .env file.
3. Request assistance by email
If you need help confirming that integration-related records have been cleared, contact us:
Include in your request
- Instagram username or account identifier
- Request type (for example: "delete Instagram integration data")
- Approximate dates of use, if known
Do not send passwords or access tokens. We will never ask you to email credentials.
4. What we can and cannot delete
- Local machine data: under the user's control; follow step 2 above.
- Data held by Meta / Instagram or other providers: subject to those providers' deletion tools and policies.
- This public website: does not store Instagram media libraries, tokens, or performance databases.
